What are the definitions?

• the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level
• the avoidance of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance 

There are three pillars of sustainability. These are: 

• Social sustainability - Has the goal of strengthening the cohesion and stability of specific social groups.
  
• Economic sustainability - refers to the organisation's ability to manage its resources and responsibly generate profits in the long term. 
• Environmental sustainability -Environmental sustainability focuses on the conservation of biodiversity without foregoing economic and social progress.
