Sketchbook We have recently been learning about perspective drawings which I have had some experience doing during my GCSE's. Its been awhile since I last did perspective drawings but I feel like I finally began to understand how they worked again although I have to admit a lot of the drawings below are not perfect. I spent the past few weeks filling up a A3 sketchbook with these drawings to help build my skills and understanding. I am not the best drawer I am definitely more comfortable using photoshop than drawing on paper so I felt like these tasks really helped build my confidence drawing. VisualsFor this task we were asked to make a vertical theatre poster. I decided to choose a play which I had never heard of because in the future as a graphic designer I will not always know everything about the thing my client wants me to design something for. I ended up choosing A little night music and I must admit I found the play very boring but my brain still managed to fill with so many ideas. I really enjoyed coming up with so many ideas and watching them develop into better ideas. My favourite design I did was when I turned the cello into the females body (I actually came up with this idea when I was in the shower) and my friends complimented that design a lot.  After finishing my visuals I realised that they were definitely not the best visuals as some of them looked very dull, my pens were too thick for the writing ect. I felt like the materials I used for my visuals let me down so I decided to go and buy some new pens and try and improve my previous work. Although I still think I have a lot to improve on when it comes to doing visuals I feel like I have learn a lot and I think my skills have improved. Since I had a lot of spare time on my hands I also decided to turn my design into an actual poster so I could improve my photoshop skills.
