Grayson Perry
I decided to choose one of my favourite artists which is Grayson Perry. Not only is his work amazing but he tends to tackles subjects such as gender, identity, social status and sexuality. He uses his art to talk about the flaws of society.
My ethical manifesto
Personally I would like to think that I wouldn't work for anyone who does unethical things no matter how much money they offer or how little money I have. However, this would obviously depend on the situation and what the company was doing. I believe that money is important but you can still be happy with very little so, I would prefer to not work for anyone who does something I disagree with especially if the thing they were doing would affect my future children future. I definitely wouldn't judge someone who did work with a company for money though as I think everyone Is just trying to live and just because you work for a company doesn't mean you have the same views some people are just really desperate for money. However, I feel like if you just don't do the job and you carry on letting the company do those unethical things you aren't really helping the problem so I think I would probably report the company or try and talk to them to see if they can change their ways. I think the world won't become a better place unless everyone tries to help make change however most people are blinded by money as they are too busy trying to survive so living in a perfect world isn't really an important thing to them. I don't think I could say I definitely would or wouldn't because I don't know what type of person I'll be in 5-10 years but I'd like to think I make the right decision which benefits the world and not just myself.
