Subculture
What is a subculture?
Subculture is a cultural group within a larger culture, often having beliefs or interests at variance with those of the larger culture.
"Every culture, or subculture, is defined by a set of common values, that is generally agreed upon preferences. Without a core of common values a culture cannot exist, and we classify society into cultures and subcultures precisely because it is possible to identify groups who have common values." - Kenneth E. Boulding

Clothing style: The hippy fashion style was very outrageous which made the hippie movement hard to ignore! Many men grew beards and both genders wore beads and sandals. Granny glasses and long flowy dresses became very popular items of clothing for hippies too. Most of their clothing would be in psychedelic colours.
